I am a freshman this year, so I am new, and really excited about starting college and getting ready to start my life!
I am an Education major and focusing on Middle Childhood, with Language Arts and Social Studies.
Two things that interest me…well that is a really tough thing to decide on.. I do love to read. I read more fiction based books, you know like the “Hunger Games” or “Harry Potter”, but my all time favorite book is a book that I picked up at a book fair in middle school. This book is called “Perfect” by Natasha Friend. It is about a girl who is in middle school and she develops and eating disorder after her father passes away. Her sister caught her and told on her and her mother made her go to a counseling group. Its very informative about eating disorders, but is also very entertaining.
Something else that interests me is hanging out with my friends.
Some of my hobbies include reading books, obviously and collecting sweaters. I have so many sweaters. I have at least 5 in my dorm and probably like 7 more back home. I like ugly ones, cute ones, long ones, fitted ones, all ones. Some of my friends tease me because I have so many, but I really love them.
The weirdest food I’ve ever eaten was peanut butter and pickle sandwich. It involves bread (it could be regular loaf, or hamburger/hotdog buns, or whatever kind of bread you enjoy eating,) and your favorite kind of peanut butter (it could be chunky, or smooth,) and your favorite type of pickles (dill, sweet, bread and butter, gherkin, etc.) Apply the peanut butter as you would a regular sandwich, then cut your pickles (if they aren’t already pre-sliced) and put them on top of your peanut buttered piece of bread. (If you are feeling really feisty, you could put peanut butter on the other piece of bread too.) Get yourself a glass of milk, or whatever beverage you like, and enjoy! It is actually a really nice combo. You’d be surprised how good it is.
My favorite quote is..
“Oh, that clock! Old killjoy. I hear you. Come on, get up, you say, Time to start another day. Even he orders me around. Well, there’s one thing. They can’t order me to stop dreaming.” -Cinderella
